About Us
In April of 2008 I started a website to help parents find wonderful things for the kids to do around New York City. I have 2 kids and would always put them in free sports leagues or take them to events that were free. Each time I would put my own children in something I wanted to share with other parents how much fun my own children would have. I began by listing events and activities that were free to low cost so parents could save money. The suggestion came from a fellow parent that works in my children’s school. After getting positive feedback from so many people I branched out beyond the five boroughs of New York to help parents across the country. Demands came into have a website for areas all over the United States. Kids On The Go has events Nationwide! I give you links and websites to different hometowns at its best. You will find the best parks, stores, professional services, restaurants, babysitters, places to stay, and entertainment, among other things. It's the answer to all those times you've wondered how to begin your search for afterschool activities, day camps, sports leagues, or a good day out. Ideas for Kids On The Go will be posted on what to do on a rainy Sunday, where to throw a party for an eight-year-old and how to find the best parades, fairs and festivals. For travelers who want an inside track on what's going on around town, Kids On The Go highlights the non-touristy attractions, child-friendly restaurants, and safe areas to play. I also suggest easy ways to get around town, family-friendly lodgings, and key contact information that will make your stay safer and more pleasant. Why you should you join??? As a member you can receive weekly updates for all featured events going on for your kids. The different sections help you check for specific needs for your child. -Discussions for parents are posted and you will be able to join and give your opinion on the various topics.
